Nick Jonas Reveals How He Prepared For His Return To ‘The Voice’

Carson Daly is back as the host of this exciting new season of The Voice. When he asks Nick what his game plan is in the trailer, he does not hesitate to show he is in it to win it. “Make sure I come with a fire in my eyes that really scares each and every one of these coaches up here,” he says confidently. This tactic has already started working after Kelly Clarkson says “I am scared.”

The 28-year-old Jonas Brothers singer has also been training his body for his return to The Voice. Nick hilariously says that he has been doing a lot of shoulder raises in the gym to prepare him for hitting his button. He did this “just to make sure I’m physically prepared as well as mentally prepared for pushing that button.”

On the first day of Blind Auditions, Nick took a video to document his experience. He is ready to “crush these other coaches.” Walking onto the set with confidence, Nick really is ready to battle.

“I have really honed in on my psychological warfare” Nick confesses. He then asks each of the coaches backstage how they are feeling about each of their teams. Before any of them even have a chance to speak, Nick cuts them off and walks away.

What Strategies Will Nick Use To Beat Blake This Season?

“Just trying to think of new and innovative ways to take on the mental aspect of this game,” Nick says as the camera shows him meditating. The other coaches are standing around him and watching in awe. But the big strategy here is working on some new vocal warmups. This includes saying “shut up Blake” and “Blake, stop talking.”

In a clip of the Blind Auditions, Nick calls Blake a “bully.” Kelly also jumps on this train during the season and it seems like all of the coaches will be teaming up on Blake yet again. But Blake has won The Voice seven times, so it is going to take a lot more than that to beat him this season. Check out the video below to find out how Blake became the king of The Voice.

“John, I’m coming for you. Blake, buddy, you know I love you, but also, I’m coming for you. Kelly, I’ve missed you, but I’m also excited to crush you” Nick says at the end of the trailer.
