Who Are ‘The Voice’ Season 20 Battle Advisors?
First up, the world is freaking out because John Legend has brought music superstar Brandy to be his Battle Advisor. Not only has she had a ton of acting experience, but also conquered the music world in the 90s with her debut album. She even served on the America’s Got Talent judging panel during its very first season. Brandy definitely knows the best advice to give contestants competing on talent competition shows, so this pairing will be unstoppable.
Blake Shelton had to bring in some big country superstars to help mentor his team for Season 20. Dan+Shay joined Blake for The Battle Rounds and first shot to fame after in 2013 with their song “19 You + Me.” Since then, it has been constant award nominations, a Grammy win and a huge collaboration with Justin Bieber. Country fans will love this selection.
Kelly Clarkson naturally had to bring in the man who was the genius behind one of the greatest hits of all time, “Despacito.” Luis Fonsi will be Team Kelly’s Battle Advisor this season. Luis who previously topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 16 consecutive weeks has the musical knowledge and tips on working a stage that Team Kelly could use to their advantage. Not to mention he recently appeared on Songland and had some incredible advice to offer up to the artists.
Lastly, all Glee fans are delighted to see that Nick Jonas will be working with Darren Criss. He is an Emmy Award winner, a Golden Globe winner and a master of the stage. The Hollywood star is also a songwriter and producer and he and Nick together is just one epic pairing.
When Will The Show Premiere?
Season 20 of The Voice will premiere on March 1 on NBC. Season 19 previously ended in December with Carter Rubin bringing Gwen Stefani her very first win on the show. Nick will be taking Gwen’s seat as a coach this season. He came back to win which he made very clear in the show’s latest trailer.
Also expect to see new rivalries form between the coaches. In the trailer, everyone has it out for Nick because they see him as a major threat. Blake makes a comment about Nick’s jacket, and Nick blocks someone from scoring an artist on their team. It looks like Nick uses his Block on John, but we will have to tune into the premiere to see if that’s the case.
