Wallen Claims He’s ‘Grown a Ton’
In the video announcing his new tour, Wallen can be heard talking about how he’s changed. The country star has been at the center of several controversies in recent years, including when a video of him using a racial slur went viral in 2021.
“I like to think that over the past year, I’ve grown a ton,” Wallen said. “For a long time, I had a lot of things holding me back, and I feel like I’ve said goodbye to a lot of those things, and I’m proud of the results that came from doing that.”
Wallen appeared on Season 6 of The Voice in 2014, first competing on Usher’s team before being stolen by fellow coach Adam Levine. He was eliminated during the Playoffs.
