Little Mix are Angels in Gorgeous Music Video For ‘Heartbreak Anthem’
Little Mix seriously never misses a beat. The group has been putting out bangers non-stop over the past year. Their latest song, “Heartbreak Anthem” with Galantis and David Guetta may just be their best hit yet. The music video is full of beautiful costumes, colors, and whimsical scenes.
Little Mix’s ‘Heartbreak Anthem’ Music Video is Perfect in Every Way Possible
The music video takes place in a theater, which is fitting because it feels like you are watching a movie. Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock all wear bedazzled hairstyles and feathered angel wings while singing the catchy tune. Edwards sits on an aerial hoop before the group launches into intricate choreography.
They take on the role of flappers in stunning glittery garments and dance barefoot on the stage. They flash face masks with Galantis’s logo on them. It feels like being at a masquerade party but everyone knows that the women of Little Mix are the coolest people in the room.
The trio all take turns spinning on the aerial hoop giving us all of the Cirque du Soleil vibes. This music video was filmed way before Pinnock and Edwards announced their pregnancies just days apart. Christian Karlsson, songwriter, and producer of Galantis did say that the song was rearranged after Jesy Nelson left Little Mix in December 2020.
“Not lyrics but a little bit of arrangement and changing vocals and stuff,” he told Metro UK. “They’re so professional. They all sang it all, the whole thing. Every single part of the song was sung by all of them. Then they were deciding on, [who was doing what part].”
Though this sounds like the ultimate breakup song, it’s actually quite the opposite. It’s an empowering song about living your life and not dwelling on things for too long. Needless to say, everyone will be hitting the dance floor this summer when “Heartbreak Anthem” is blaring over the speakers at the club, socially distanced of course!
Little Mix is heading out on tour in 2022 to perform songs off of their new Confetti album after Pinnock and Edwards give birth. The group rose to fame after winning The X Factor in 2011 and has had a decade full of huge releases and tremendous success.
