Laci Kaye Booth, who appeared on American Idol Season 17, attended the CMA Awards for the first time Wednesday night, accompanied by her boyfriend, Australian singer Morgan Evans. According to People, the couple could be seen holding hands and kissing.

Booth also posted a collection of images from her time getting ready for the awards and posing in her outfit alongside Evans. She wrote, “Dream team. I love y’all so much. Thanks for making me feel witchy and magical on my first CMA carpet.”

Evans and Booth co-wrote the song “Daddy’s Mugshot,” which they performed together live in April of this year. At the time, Booth called Evans “my boyfriend,” adding, “My hot guitar player…and I’m in love with him.”

Evans Was Previously Married to Kelsea Ballerini

Morgan Evans was previously married to Kelsea Ballerini for almost five years. They started dating in 2016 and tied the knot in December 2017. Ballerini announced their split in August 2022, and their divorce was finalized in November of that year.

Ballerini went on to start dating Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes in 2023. In September of this year, it was reported that they had broken up. Despite reports from earlier this month that they had rekindled their romance, Stokes implied that they were no longer together in a recent Instagram post.

“Don’t believe the media. I’m blocked, I did nothing wrong. Sorry. I tried,” he wrote on Instagram stories. “I’m sorry for those who believed in us. It is what it is. Onwards and upwards.”
