Excitement is in the air as Peppa Pig gears up to celebrate its 20th anniversary with a star-studded surprise. Katy Perry is set to make a guest appearance in the Peppa Pig world. In a delightful twist, Perry will lend her voice to a brand-new character in the upcoming Peppa Pig Wedding Party Special, scheduled to air in the spring of 2024.

Katy Perry Will Voice Ms. Leopard in Peppa Pig

The Peppa Pig Wedding Party Special promises to be an unforgettable event. Mr. Bull and Mrs. Cow’s wedding is going to be a surprise, leaving everyone with just one day to prepare for the big day. Perry’s character, Ms. Leopard, will play the role of a dressmaker who steps in to help with the wedding preparations. With Perry’s vibrant personality and knack for creativity, it’s sure to be a wedding to remember.

Olivier Dumont, President of Hasbro Entertainment, expressed his enthusiasm for this special collaboration.

“We’re incredibly thrilled to have such an A-list talent join the family-fun adventures in Peppa Pig!” Dumont said. “As a loving parent and fan of Peppa herself, Katy Perry is a perfect fit to voice the character of Ms. Leopard.”

The Peppa Pig 20th anniversary celebration doesn’t stop at the animated special. Hasbro Entertainment has big plans in store to mark this milestone. According to Dumont, there are “live events and attractions, products and partnerships, Peppa parties all over the world and much more” on the horizon. It’s a year-long celebration that will certainly bring joy to fans of all ages.

Perry’s adventures into the world of Peppa Pig is not her first time in an animated series. She previously voiced Smurfette in The Smurfs and The Smurfs 2 and even made a guest appearance as herself on The Simpsons. Last year, she announced her role as the titular character in the upcoming animated musical film Melody, where she will not only provide her voice but also write and perform original music.

While Perry is making headlines for her exciting role in the Peppa Pig 20th-anniversary special, she is also facing a legal battle that has stirred considerable controversy. Just two months prior to the joyful announcement of her involvement in the beloved children’s series, Perry and her fiancé Orlando Bloom found themselves embroiled in a legal drama concerning a $15 million mansion.

The lawsuit, initiated by the previous owner of the property, Carl Westcott, has gained significant attention. Westcott, an 84-year-old veteran, alleged that he was in an “unsound mind” and recovering from back surgery when he signed over his property to Perry and Bloom in 2020.

On social media, one user hoped for the dismissal of the case, which would then allow Westcott to keep his home. They also emphasized that greed should not prevail in such circumstances. Others raised questions about the timing of the property deal, with one user alleging that Perry’s real estate agent facilitated the transaction while Westcott was under the influence of surgery-related drugs.
