John Legend, Chrissy Teigen Sell Home Famously Known for Their Quarantine Posts

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are making some major money moves. The couple recently sold their gorgeous home north of Sunset Boulevard for a whopping $16.8 million. Though this seems like a decent selling price for a mansion of this magnitude, they were originally asking for $23.95 million.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Sell Beverly Hills Home After a Year on the Market
This Beverly Hills mansion located in a gated community, was initially put on the market by Legend and Teigen in August 2020. They bought the home in 2016 from Rihanna for $14.1 million. In photos of the home obtained by People, all of the little personal touches added by interior designer, Don Stewart, make the space even more perfect.
The house is filled with all of the features you would expect one of Hollywood’s most talked about celebrity couples to have. The seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms are only just a small fraction of what makes this house so lush. A gorgeous glam room, home movie theater, and private gym are also highlights.
As you would expect of Teigen, the cookbook author, the kitchen is massive. Fans have seen a ton of Instagram stories take place in that kitchen over the years as Teigen shared some of her famous recipes. Teigen also had not one, but two huge closets that literally look like they belong in The Princess Diaries. These closets were home to her colorful wardrobe that she has strutted on some of the biggest red carpets in the world.
There are several touches throughout the home that tie in Teigen’s Thai roots like the hand-carved living room ceiling imported from Thailand. And, how can we forget the piano that The Voice coach sat at for all of his quarantine performances and social media posts? All of his shiny awards sat on a shelf in the background for all to see. This house is iconic and not just because it has a saltwater pool with a jacuzzi.
The Couple Purchased Another Home in 2020
One month after putting this house on the market, Teigen and Legend bought a Beverly Hills property for for $17.5 million. The couple had just shared with the world that they were expecting their third child. They went house-hunting in Los Angeles with their children Luna, 5, and Miles, 3.
A source told People at the time that the family were looking for “a house they can grow into” and felt they found the perfect one, but in late September 2020, the couple revealed the devastating news that they had lost the baby. Teigen later opened up in an essay for Medium about the loss.
Amid all of her ongoing social media drama, Teigen and Legend recently announced on Instagram that their French bulldog Pippa had sadly passed away recently. The family also has a house full of other pets with several more dogs, a hamster, birds, and a bearded dragon.
