Jennifer Lopez Writes Her First Children’s Book With Jimmy Fallon
Reading Time: 2 minutes
Pop icon Jennifer Lopez co-authored her first bilingual children’s book with The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon. The two have joined together to write a new and fun way to teach kids Spanish in their first literary collaboration.
The New Book Comes In Two Languages
As a multi-faceted artist who has done almost everything in her career, writing a book is something entirely new for Lopez. In contrast, the talk show host is more experienced in writing, having published five known best-selling books.
With such iconic co-authors, we expect the book to be one of a kind. The book is titled Con Pollo: A Bilingual Playtime Adventure and it features the character Pollo, a playful chicken.
The picture book is illustrated by Andrea Campos and it serves the readers with an introduction to basic Spanish vocabulary. The book has simple but colorful pages that are perfect for kids ages two to five. It recently been made available for purchase and is now shaping up to become popular as well.
“I’m so excited to launch my first children’s book and it’s even more special to collaborate with Jimmy!” Lopez said.
Fallon is also excited about the launch of their book, although his excitement comes with a bit of reflection. His motivation behind writing the book was his Spanish teachers who he dedicates the book to.
“I wish that I kind of took other languages more serious when I was kid,” Fallon said about it not being offered where he grew up.
Con Pollo: A Bilingual Playtime Adventure can be purchased on Amazon for only $16.99. Prime members can get this book shipped fast and for free.
Lopez Mourns Death of Close Friend Along With Her Husband
In more somber news, the former American Idol judge paid tribute to a close friend together with her husband Ben Affleck. The couple was spotted in Miami attending a celebration of life for their friend and Market America CEO J.R. Ridinger.
The esteemed businessman’s untimely death came as a shock to Lopez as he was once a prominent figure in Miami. Lopez performed a song at the funeral in honor of Ridinger and took to Instagram to send condolences to Ridinger’s widow.
“I love you so much. He loved you so much. Thank you for spending every night with me, of endless hours and tears with me. I will never forget it.” Ridinger’s widow wrote in response to Lopez’s post.
