Howie Mandel Spoofs Colleen Ballinger in New Apology Video

America’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel took to social media this week to post an apology video for an incident last year in which he shared a photo of his friend’s prolapsed anus. The clip is a spoof of YouTuber Colleen Ballinger’s recent apology video.

Mandel’s new video is referencing Colleen Ballinger, aka Miranda Sings, who was recently accused of grooming her young fans. Ballinger responded to the accusations in a video where she played the ukulele and sang about the “toxic gossip train.”
“People told me not to do this, but nobody said that I shouldn’t sing this,” Mandel says at the start of his own video, before strumming a guitar and singing, “A little while back, I accidentally posted a prolapse and didn’t know what it was. And then I got on the prolapse train, and you all comment that you’ll never forget.”
He goes on to sing that he’s “just a human being that didn’t know what a prolapse was.” Mandel is a referring to a TikTok he posted last year showing a photo of his friend’s prolapsed anus, asking, “Does somebody know if this is COVID related?”
To make the apology video even more ridiculous, someone off screen (presumably one of Mandel’s grandchildren) tapes various objects to his head while he sings.

Mandel Is Selling Merchandise Inspired by the Incident
Mandel continues to joke about last year’s prolapse incident by selling merch inspired by it. In his apology video, he can be seen wearing a T-shirt with the words “IS THIS COVID RELATED?” printed across the front.
The shirt is available for fans to purchase, along with other merch inspired by Mandel’s podcast Howie Mandel Does Stuff. Meanwhile, fans have been loving the comedian’s recent video, as shown by the comments section.
“Did NOT expect Howie Mandel to make a parody of this but DAMN THE SHADE,” wrote user @the_geeque. User @astralr3jection wrote, “Howie you could prolapse literally right in front of me, and even then, I could feel nothing but adoration for you.”
