During the most recent episode of Dancing with the Stars, pro dancer Gleb Savchenko could be see sharing a kiss with his celebrity partner Brooks Nader during rehearsals. Savchenko explained the moment in a new interview.
Gleb Savchenko Explains Brooks Nader Kiss on DWTS
During Tuesday’s Oscars Night episode of DWTS Season 33, Savchenko and Nader were shown rehearsing for their Quickstep performance to “9 to 5.” The two appeared to get flirty, as Savcheko said they were “so connected” and added that they “have to be close” in the Quickstep.
“We have a really nice time together,” Nader said in an interview clip, before adding with a giggle, “Dancing. All dancing.” She said it “doesn’t make me mad at all” for them to be referred to as a couple.
Nader said having a strong connection on the dancefloor would “not be an issue” for them. The show then cut to a quick clip of Nader planting a kiss on Savchenko’s lips. Savchenko also said that Nader was “distracting” him while they rehearsed.
“We were getting into character,” Savchenko told People of their smooch. “When we get to dance with each other for five hours a day, and we’re so close and personal and she looks like that, we just kind of develop that kind of chemistry.”
Nader and Savchenko didn’t just share a kiss during rehearsals. They were also captured on video locking lips backstage during the show. According to People, they displayed quite a bit of PDA behind the scenes as they waited to talk to press.
Savchenko reportedly tickled Nader and grabbed her by the waist, while Nader put her hand on Savchenko’s stomach. They also reportedly called each other “babe” and held hands while getting their makeup touched up.
Both the model and the dancer are apparently available. Nader announced her split from husband Billy Haire earlier this year, after four years of marriage. Also earlier this year, Savchenko broke up with his girlfriend, Elena Belle, after almost three years together.
