Reading Time: 3 minutes
Dancing with the Stars Season 33 returned on Tuesday for Oscars Night, as the celebrities and their professional partners danced to songs from Oscar-nominated movies. Chandler Kinney remained at the top of the leaderboard this week. At the end of the night, there was a double elimination, as two couples were sent home.
DWTS Season 33 Returns for Oscars Night
During last week’s season premiere, none of the couples were eliminated. Their scores were combined with this week’s scores, as well as viewers’ votes, to determine the results. On Tuesday, all 13 couples returned to the dance floor to perform new dances.
Actress Chandler Kinney came out on top for the second week in a row, earning a total score of 24 out of 30 for her and her partner Brandon Armstrong’s Rumba to “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish, from the Barbie movie. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said that Chandler “touched us all” with her performance.
Other standouts from the night included Dwight Howard’s Foxtrot to “City of Stars” from La La Land, with his partner Daniella Karagach; Stephen Nedoroscik’s Paso Doble to “Superman (Main Theme)” with his partner Rylee Arnold; and Joey Graziadei’s Rumba to “Shallow” from A Star Is Born, with his partner Jenna Johnson. All three of these couples earned a score of 22 this week.
Phaedra Parks and Danny Amendola also improved after last week’s show, bumping up their scores to 21. Phaedra and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy danced a Foxtrot to “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” from Dreamgirls, while Danny joined his partner Witney Carson for a Jive to “Danger Zone” from Top Gun.

Who Was Eliminated This Week?
Tuesday’s show ended with a double elimination, as two couples were forced to leave the ballroom. The vote was open during the show, and the results were revealed at the end of the night. Hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough announced who was safe and who would be going home.
Ultimately, the two couples who were eliminated were Tori Spelling and her partner Pasha Pashkov, as well as Anna Delvey and her partner Ezra Sosa. Surprisingly, neither of these stars earned the lowest scores of the night.
Tori Spelling danced a Rumba to “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman during Tuesday’s show, while Anna Delvey took on a Quickstep to “Suddenly I See” from The Devil Wears Prada. Tori and Pasha earned a combined score of 19, while Anna and Ezra earned a 17.
When saying goodbye, Tori told her kids that they can “do anything you put your mind to.” In contrast, when Anna was asked what she would take away from her time on the show, she replied, “Nothing.” This was her partner Ezra Sosa’s first season as a pro. Hopefully he’ll make it further in the competition next time.
What do you think about this week’s results? Dancing with the Stars won’t be on next week, but it will return for a two-night event on October 7 and 8. Tune in on ABC and Disney+ to see the couples dance tributes to Soul Train and Hair Metal.
