‘The Four’ Ends With Its Highest Ratings Of The Season
The Four: Battle for Stardom ended its second season this past Thursday and it was pretty amazing. Viewers certainly thought so as the finale got the highest ratings this season. That’s not a huge surprise, but it is good news for the producers after a lackluster ratings season. But is it enough to bring the show back?
Thursday’s finale garnered a 1.0 share for the first time. That translates into about 3.37 million viewers. That’s a definite uptick from the previous week. The truth is that The Four has suffered in the ratings all season. If you compare their numbers with America’s Got Talent, for example, The Four only got a fourth of AGT’s ratings. This is mostly due to The Four’s audience being younger which means they don’t watch it in ways that the Nielsen Ratings can record.
So, now the big question is if the show will return for a season 3. We talked to both Diddy and Meghan Trainor and they both didn’t know for sure. They said the network was deciding. I certainly hope The Four returns. It is honestly one of the most entertaining shows on TV and it would be a shame if it weren’t around. Where else would we get our weekly dose of DJ Khaled being a weirdo?
