Former American Idol judge Keith Urban is back with a new single called “Brown Eyes Baby.” Urban recently premiered the track on his current tour and fans are excited to finally have a version to stream at home.
Keith Urban Releases New Song “Brown Eyes Baby”
Urban teased the song’s release last month on Instagram, sharing a video of himself performing it during a Florida show on his The Speed of Now tour. “Since then, sooooo many of you have been posting videos & asking for this one to be released,” he wrote.
Now the single is finally out, with throwback-style cover art showing a cassette tape labeled with masking tape and black marker. The hand holding the tape has a smiley face drawn on the thumbnail. Urban shared that he’ll be performing the track every night on tour.
“Brown Eyes Baby” shows off Urban’s classic country style, backed by electric guitar. In the song’s lyrics, Urban sings about helping someone get over their sadness.
“I can put the sun right back in your sunshine / Bring a little love back into your late night,” Urban sings on the chorus. “Ain’t gotta be nothin’ more than one more drink and maybe / I can take the blue out of your brown eyes, baby.”

The Singer Is Currently on Tour
Keith Urban is currently on his new The Speed of Now tour, which kicked off last month in Tampa. He has a number of dates lined up throughout the United States through November of this year. After that, he’ll be heading to Australia in December.
The tour is named after Urban’s most recent studio album, The Speed of Now Part 1, which came out in September 2020. As for a part two, Urban said at the time of the last album’s release that he wasn’t sure if and when he would release one, although he has a lot of extra material.
Urban was a judge on American Idol from Season 12 to Season 15. He famously sat on the panel alongside Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. Before that, he was a coach on the Australian version of The Voice. Although he initially left after one season, he returned to the show in 2020.
Love every thing Keith does, esp. his on stage shows!!
