Floyd Mayweather’s Daughter, 19, Yaya Facing Life In Prison After Stabbing NBA Youngboy’s Baby MamaMriganka Chawla | Talent Recap

Yaya Mayweather is the daughter of a professional boxer, Floyd Mayweather. However, even he can’t help get her out of the drama she is involved in. The 19-year-old is now facing the possibility of being in prison for life after stabbing the mother of rapper NBA Youngboy’s child, Lapattra Jacobs.

Lapattra’s Injuries Could Result In Longer Prison Sentence

Yaya was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon earlier this month after charging at Lapattra with knives. The two were reportedly fighting over the rap star after Yaya saw Lapattra at his home. The two got into a heated argument and things turned physical. Yaya grabbed knives from Youngboy’s home and charged at Lapattra. She began stabbing her over and over again. Lapattra’s stab wounds were so severe that she was laying on the floor when EMT’s arrived and had to be taken to the hospital immediately. Yaya claimed it was an act of self-defense after Lapattra pulled her hair.

Now, the state of Texas has ordered Lapattra’s medical records to be included in the upcoming court case against Yaya. This will include photographs of the wounds, x-rays, lab reports and other things that can be used as evidence against Yaya. All in all, the outlook is not looking too good for Yaya. This could increase her prison sentence she could be looking at which was already 99 years.

Yaya And NBA Youngboy’s Relationship Is Rocky

The pair began dating in 2019 but have gone through a ton of ups and downs. The rapper has at least four kids that the media knows of. He clearly has baby mama drama with the childrens mothers. Towards the end of 2019, the relationship was on the rocks after Yaya slit the tires on Youngboy’s car. It is unclear what caused her to do this. He even dissed her in his song “Dirty Iyanna.” But the pair were able to forgive each other about their past mistakes in early 2020. Yaya posted an Instagram video where she sang along to the lyrics of the song.

The pair both commented back and forth on the video publicly declaring their love for one another. After the stabbing, Yaya has since been released on a $30,000 bond and will reportedly plead not guilty to the attack. She was also was seen back at Youngboy’s home. He even referred to her as his “wife.” But now all of this could change.

A Lifelong Prison Sentence Could Change Their Relationship Forever

It is unclear on how Youngboy and Yaya’s relationship will survive this firestorm of violence and the possibility of her being locked away for the rest of her life. The rapper has not directly spoken about the incident. He has put out a tweet recently that has fans speculating that he is referring to the arrest.

Youngboy said, “After Friday I’ll never release a song/album again until I’m in a better situation #PROMISE.” This bad situation that the rapper is in could be referring to the drama between his baby momma and his girlfriend. It is no doubt hard for someone to deal with their significant other potentially facing prison for life. “We are here for you,” said one comment on the post. People were not thrilled with Yaya’s behavior and also took to Twitter to voice how she “ruined her life over that boy.”

Clearly Yaya now must face the consequences of her actions as she awaits this highly anticipated court case.

It is definitely not easy as a father to see one of your children getting into trouble, so we are curious to see how Floyd reacts to his daughter’s fate. So far he has been pretty mum on the subject.
