Eric Cowell’s ‘AGT’ Crush Sophie Fatu Releases An Album At Age 7
Eric Cowell’s AGT crush Sophie Fatu has released her first album! Last year on the show, judge Simon Cowell tried to set Sophie (the youngest contestant ever) up with his son, who was visiting the set.
Read on to find out more about Sophie’s history on AGT, as well as how to listen to her new album. Can you believe Sophie is just 7 years old?
Who Is ‘AGT’ Star Sophie Fatu?
Sophie appeared on AGT Season 13 last year. She was only 5 years old at the time, making her the youngest contestant in AGT history. She auditioned with Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” and earned yes votes from all four judges.
In the Judge Cuts, Sophie sang “New York, New York.” Although she didn’t make it through to the next round, there was a cute moment when Simon told Sophie that his son Eric (now 5 years old) had a crush on her. Eric, who was hanging out with his dad on set, ran away embarrassed.
Outside of America’s Got Talent, Sophie has recorded popular Frank Sinatra covers on her YouTube channel. She has also appeared on Little Big Shots and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Sophie Announces A New Album
A new post on Sophie’s Instagram reveals that she has released an EP called Love is… The cover of the album features Sophie wearing a suit and fedora, in true Sinatra style.
You can buy the album on iTunes and Amazon. It’s described as “a passionate homage to the vocal legends who influenced her early career and a love letter to her fans.” Tracks include covers of songs by Sinatra, Dean Martin, Frankie Lymon, and Nina Simone.
Congrats to Sophie on the album! It seems like she has a bright future ahead of her.
