Dancing with the Stars Season 34 returned on Tuesday for TikTok Night, as the remaining couples performed dances to songs that went viral on the platform. Season 31 winner Charli D’Amelio returned to the ballroom for a few dances, and at the end of the night, one couple was eliminated from the competition.

Jordan Chiles, Whitney Leavitt Stun on DWTS TikTok Night

At the end of Tuesday night’s show, Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles and Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt were tied at the top of the leaderboard with scores of 24 out of 30. For Jordan and her partner Ezra Sosa, that was their best score of the season so far.

The pair danced a tango to “Anxiety” by Doechii that judge Carrie Ann Inaba called “smooth and fierce.” Jordan got emotional after the performance, admitting that the routine was “really hard.” It definitely paid off, as they were declared safe at the end of the night.

As for Whitney and her partner Mark Ballas, they performed a lively samba to “Shake Ya Ass (Radio Edit)” by Mystikal. Inaba told Whitney that she “ate that dance up,” while Derek Hough described it as “mesmerizing.” Whitney and Mark were also safe at the end of the night.

Surprisingly, Robert Irwin and his partner Witney Carson fell down a few spots on the leaderboard after an impressive first two weeks. Their salsa to “Million Dollar Baby” by Tommy Richman earned a score of 22 out of 30. Although the crowd went wild for Irwin’s shirtless moment, the judges were critical of his technique.

Celebrities Show Improvement in Week 3

A number of celebrity contestants showed improvement in their dance technique during Tuesday night’s show. That includes Dylan Efron, who danced a foxtrot to “Yukon” by Justin Bieber with his partner Daniella Karagach. Inaba called Dylan an “amazing student.” The couple earned a score of 23 out of 30.

Tied with Dylan was Alix Earle, who also showed improvement with a quickstep to “Pop Muzik” by M/Robin Scott alongside her partner Val Chmerkovskiy. Bruno Tonioli told Alix that she’s “a contender” this season, while Inaba called it her “best dance so far.” They also earned a 23 out of 30.

Scott Hoying also bumped up his score from last week, dancing a jazz routine to “Like Jennie” by Jennie with his partner Rylee Arnold. Inaba dubbed him the “king of TikTok night.” Scott and Rylee earned a 22 out of 30 for their performance.

Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov impressed with their foxtrot to “Manchild” by Sabrina Carpenter, with Inaba saying she could see growth in Danielle’s technique. The couple earned a score of 21 out of 30, up from 19 last week.

Hilaria Baldwin also improved upon her previous scores, earning a 22 out of 30 for her samba to “Shake It to the Max (Fly) [Remix]” by Moily, Silent Addy, Skillibeng & Shenseea alongside her partner Gleb Savchenko. Inaba said that the late Len Goodman would have loved it.

The Night Ends with a Shocking Elimination

Voting was open during the show, and votes were combined with the judges’ scores to determine the results. At the end of the night, one couple had to be eliminated. At the bottom of the leaderboard on Tuesday night were Lauren Jauregui and Andy Richter with 18, followed by Jen Affleck with 19.

Despite the fact that Jen and her partner Jan Ravnik fell three points from last week’s performance to a 19 for their cha-cha to “She’s a Bad Mama Jama (She’s Built, She’s Stacked)” by Carl Carlton, they were declared safe. The final three couples left on stage were Lauren, Andy, and Elaine Hendrix — who tied her score from last week, earning a 21 for her and partner Alan Bersten’s tango to “Gnarly” by Katseye.

The co-hosts emphasized that these three stars were not necessarily the bottom three for the night. Eventually, we learned that Lauren and her partner Brandon Armstrong would be going home. During the episode, they danced a cha-cha to “Work from Home” by Lauren’s group Fifth Harmony.

Host Julianne Hough commented that everyone in the ballroom seemed to be shocked by Lauren’s elimination, and Lauren herself admitted that she was “pissed” to be going home. Many probably expected Andy Richter and his partner Emma Slater to be the eliminated couple after their foxtrot to “Northern Attitude” by Noah Kahan & Hozier.

However, Andy and Emma will return for next week’s show. What do you think about this week’s results? Do you think Lauren deserved to go home? Let us know in the comments below.
