Dancing with the Stars Season 34 returned on Tuesday night for One-Hit Wonders Night. The scores and votes from last week’s premiere episode were combined with tonight’s to determine which couples should be sent home in a double elimination.

Robert Irwin, Whitney Leavitt Top the DWTS Leaderboard

Last week, Robert Irwin and Whitney Leavitt were tied at the top of the leaderboard. They received identical scores (22 out of 30) once again during Tuesday night’s show, leaving them tied at the top with a combined 37 out of 50.

Robert and his partner Witney Carson delivered an impressive tango to “Move Your Feet” by Junior Senior, prompting judge Carrie Ann Inaba to wonder, “What week is this?” Meanwhile, Whitney and her partner Mark Ballas executed a spicy cha-cha to “Play That Funky Music” by Wild Cherry. Bruno Tonioli called it “so hot I am melting.”

Next on the leaderboard, with a combined score of 35 out of 50, were Hilaria Baldwin and her partner Gleb Savchenko. They danced a tango to “What Is Love” by Haddaway this week, earning a score of 21 out of 30. Bruno Tonioli called it a “blend of power and elegance.”

Stars Show Improvement in the Second Week

Quite a few celebrity contestants showed improvement in this week’s new episode. That includes Jordan Chiles, who danced a jive to “Maniac” by Michael Sambello with her partner Ezra Sosa. Bruno Tonioli said she was “going for the gold,” while Carrie Ann Inaba compared her to Tina Turner. The couple earned a score of 22 out of 30, an improvement over last week’s 10 out of 20.

Jen Affleck and Jan Ravnik also showed improvement with their quickstep to “Take on Me” by a-ha, earning a score of 22 out of 30. Meanwhile, Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten impressed with a jive to “Hey Mickey” by Toni Basil, earning a 21 out of 30.

Dylan Efron and his partner Daniella Karagach also wowed with their samba to “Macarena” by Los del Rio. Carrie Ann Inaba said Dylan’s “hips are expert level,” while Bruno Tonioli called him a “snake hip wonder.” Dylan and Daniella earned a score of 20 out of 30.

Who Went Home in the Double Elimination?

At the end of the night, the couples were announced safe one by one until only three were left — Hilaria Baldwin and Gleb Savchenko, Baron Davis and Britt Stewart, and Corey Feldman and Jenna Johnson. The hosts made it clear that this was not necessarily the bottom three.

Ultimately, the two stars who had to say goodbye to the competition were Baron Davis and Corey Feldman. Corey and Jenna were at the bottom of the leaderboard Tuesday night with a combined score of 24 out of 50. Baron and Britt were third from the bottom, tied with Scott Hoying and Rylee Arnold with a combined score of 28 out of 50.

During Tuesday’s show, Corey and Jenna performed a cha-cha to “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-a-Lot, while Baron and Britt danced a samba to “Return of the Mack” by Mark Morrison. They earned a score of 15 and 18, respectively.

Andy Richter and Emma Slater were second from the bottom of the leaderboard on Tuesday night, with a combined score of 25 out of 50 following their tango to “It’s Raining Men” by The Weather Girls, which earned a score of 16 out of 30. Derek Hough said Andy captures “the essence of why this show was created.” He was declared safe at the end of the night.

This week’s elimination meant we had to say goodbye to Season 33’s reigning pro champion, Jenna Johnson. She won the Mirrorball last season with her partner, Bachelor star Joey Graziadei. Do you agree with the results of this week’s show? Let us know in the comments below.
