‘DWTS’ Pro Koko Iwasaki Gets Emotional After Getting Engaged

Dancing With The Stars professional dancer Koko Iwasaki got emotional after celebrating her engagement. For those who may not know, Iwasaki got engaged to fellow So You Think You Can Dance alum Kiki Nyemchek in November 2022.
Koko Iwasaki Shared Her Emotional Engagement Party
Iwasaki has been completely open to her fans about her personal life and how her engagement to Nyemchek has been an emotional roller coaster. They recently held a party and Iwasaki thanked everyone who helped make the engagement celebration possible and shared some images from it on her Instagram Stories.
“I am still trying to process this weekend,” Iwasaki said. “I couldn’t stop crying because I was overflowing with emotions and I still can’t believe people flew across the country to celebrate us.”
She said that she cried while remembering the celebration. The dancer also expressed her delight at seeing her family and friends in the same room as her fiance’s loved ones. In the next slide of the post, Iwasaki expressed gratitude to the venue space, chefs, and trivia host for making the engagement party possible.
Iwasaki Is In The Planning Stages Of Her Wedding With Nyemchek
Iwasaki gave an update to her Instagram followers to say that she’s currently planning the wedding together with her fiancé. She posted a number of images of them, including one in which Nyemcheck was on one knee, another in which they were cuddling, and a third in which the engagement ring was in full display.
“I wanted to wait for a special time to post this picture or even post a picture of us in general, but then I thought about how silly that is, especially cause every day with you is so special,” Iwasaki captioned.
The dancers met each other while competing in season 14 of SYTYCD where Iwasaki came in second and Nyemcheck was a finalist. Although neither of them won the show back in 2017, they still connected with each other after the show ended. After their time on the dancing competition came to a close, the couple first made their relationship public in April 2018.
