Who is Dimash Kudaibergen?
Dimash is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist from Kazakhstan known for his six octave range. He is 25 years old and describes his genre as “pop, classical crossover, folk, world.” He plays the dombra (similar to a lute), piano, drums, guitar, and xylophone. Dimash has carved his own path, drifting from the traditional opera route and instead pursuing contemporary pop music with his classical background.
As you can hear from his videos, Dimash has a voice unlike any other. And any of his “Dears” (Dimash’s fanbase) will tell you just that! He first rose to fame when he competed as a contestant on the Chinese talent show Singer 2017, where he was declared the runner-up. Since then, he has appeared on The World’s Best and multiple music festivals around the world.
When and Where is Dimash Performing in NY?
For his first solo US concert, Dimash will be at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. It is pair of his “ARNAU” tour. The concert is on Tuesday, December 10th at 7:00pm. He will also be performing there on October 26th, as a guest of Russian composer Igor Krutoi, in celebration of his 65th birthday.
