BIO: Randy Jackson was one of the original judges of Fox’s hit series American Idol. He served as judge alongside Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul until 2009 when Abdul left the show. Jackson remained as a judge on the show until 2014.

Jackson began his career in the 1980s playing bass guitar and gained recognition with the band Journey. Jackson has recorded, produced, and toured with a variety of artists across his career. He was an executive producer on MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew and is now a co-host of the Name That Tune revival.

Jackson has one child with ex-wife Elizabeth Jackson. He also has two children with ex-wife Erika Riker.
