BIO: Jennifer Hudson rose to fame in 2004 as a finalist on American Idol. Even though she placed in seventh, she’s had an extremely successful career. Following her time on the talent competition, she made her film debut as Effie White in the musical Dreamgirls, where she won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
Later, she signed to Arista Records, she released her debut album in 2008. This album is certified gold and also won Hudson the GRAMMY award for Best R&B album. In September 2021, Hudson won a Daytime Emmy Award as an executive producer on Baba Yaga. In May 2022, Hudson earned EGOT status with her Tony Award win as producer of A Strange Loop on Broadway.
In the present day, Hudson hosts her own talk show, The Jennifer Hudson Show.
