EXCLUSIVE: “The Voice Comeback Stage” Finalists Will Battle to Join Top 13
Since we’re at the end of “The Comeback Stage” online, the series will now be joining the broadcast version of The Voice! From the original six comeback artists, Ayanna Joni and Lynnea Moorer were successful in earning their spot in the companion series’ finale. Now, the two Team Kelsea finalists will be featured in next week’s Live Playoffs. They will be competing for a spot in the Top 13, on the team of their choice.
Let’s take a look at Ayanna and Lynnea’s journey on “The Comeback Stage” in this exclusive video:
Ayanna Joni vs. Lynnea Moorer: The Comeback Battle
Ayanna has been a standout on the series since she appeared in its first episode. In The Voice premiere, she failed to turn any chairs singing “Sorry Not Sorry” by Demi Lovato. But fifth coach Kelsea Ballerini brought her back for a second chance. Just like her daughter predicted! Ayanna then impressed Kelsea by singing Ariana Grande’s “Dangerous Woman.” She was then chosen over Madison Cain to appear in the Knockouts. There, she sang “I Put a Spell On You” by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. I thought she had the standout performance of the round!
Lynnea was the third artist to join “The Comeback Stage.” She auditioned with “Location” by Khalid but no chairs turned during her performance. But that wasn’t it for Lynnea! She joined Team Kelsea and was back with a vengeance, singing “My My My!” by Troye Sivan. After taking on Ele Ivory in the Battles, another one of my personal favorites from the series, Lynnea was victorious. She moved on to the Knockouts, where she sand Shawn Mendes’ “In My Blood.” Again, she was chosen by Kelsea to move on.
This video is also a tease of what’s to come! Now, Ayanna and Lynnea will have a chance to perform in the Live Shows. They will be competing in the Live Playoffs next Tuesday to pick a coach and join the Top 13. After performing live, viewers at home will get to vote in real time for “The Comeback Stage” winner. But who will it be? Tune in next week as The Voice sets its Top 13!
