Chrissy Teigen’s Twitter Return Sparks Hilarious Memes
On March 24, the world was shattered when Chrissy Teigen announced she was leaving Twitter. Just 23 days later…she’s back! The cookbook author and wife to John Legend logged on and got right back to work posting hilarious tweets. Her return to the platform has driven users to create memes that will leave you laughing until you cry.
Chrissy Teigen Returns to Twitter After Quitting For 23 Days
Teigen’s first tweet back says “turns out it feels TERRIBLE to silence yourself and also no longer enjoy belly chuckles randomly throughout the day and also lose like 2000 friends at once lol.”
“I’ve spent weeks just saying tweets to shampoo bottles,” she added when a fan asked her to share a fun anecdote from her time away.
Teigen initially decided to quit Twitter after ten years of owning the platform with her comedic reviews, outspoken critiques, and recipe videos. After suffering a pregnancy loss, she had been more vulnerable than ever before with her followers.
“My life goal is to make people happy. The pain I feel when I don’t is too much for me. I’ve always been portrayed as the strong clap back girl but I’m just not,” she wrote at the time.
She did receive a lot of negativity on the platform and felt it was time to step away. Her tweets were gone and fans were mourning the career she built from roasting people on Twitter. Obviously, the mother of two changed her mind and has flown back to the Twitter nest.
The Memes Are Endless After Teigen’s Return
Teigen’s name began trending on Twitter once she sent out her first tweet marking her return. With this came a ton of memes and amusing tweets from some fans and some trolls.
One user even compared Teigen without Twitter to SpongeBob without water.
This next tweet is hysterical and you need to watch it:
Another fan wrote “most relatable thing chrissy teigen has ever done is dramatically quit social media and come back 2 weeks later.”
It looks like Teigen is here to stay after establishing herself as the queen of the platform.
Is Teigen returning to Twitter just like Fergie singing the National Anthem? You be the judge.
“To everyone who doubted me when I told you that Chrissy Teigen would return to Twitter, you can CashApp me my money…” another soon-to-be rich fan wrote.
Whether you love her or hate her, Teigen is always so amusing on Twitter. Plus, who doesn’t love to see behind-the-scenes videos of her husband John Legend? We didn’t forget about all of the times Teigen tweeted that Legend invited The Voice coaches over and she had to scramble to prepare a meal for them.
Her 8.9 million followers cannot wait to see what she posts next.
