Chrissy Teigen Freaks Out Over Dinner Guests Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton After ‘The Voice’ Finale

The season 19 finale of The Voice was full of surprises after Gwen Stefani took home her first win with artist Carter Rubin. But the biggest surprise of the night came when John Legend told his wife Chrissy Teigen to prepare a dinner party on such short notice for Gwen and her fiance Blake Shelton.

John Legend Surprised Chrissy Teigen With Impromptu Dinner Party Plans

Chrissy documented the whole night on her Instagram story. “So we’re hosting a dinner because John’s like, ‘Yeah, you guys, just make dinner,'” Chrissy joked in one video. “John’s like, ‘Yeah! Just make dinner for Gwen and Blake!’ Then we’re like, ‘It’s kind of a big deal to make dinner for Gwen and Blake.’ Like, it’s a big deal. So now we have just an entire firepit going.”

“It’s happening,” Chrissy excitedly said in another video. “Three hours later, it’s happening!” Whoa, we are cooking!” She showed videos of her mom, Vilailuck Teigen, cooking over a fire pit. She got a fire going in the backyard with the help of some of Chrissy’s friends. “Incredible, this is gorgeous,” Chrissy said about the fire.

On the menu for the night was some delicious looking chicken satay, shrimp, rice and noodles. Vilailuck posed with all of the finished dishes. We have to say that even after having so little time to prepare dinner, the food looked incredible. She is even coming out with her own cookbook next year, following in her daughter’s footsteps.

Blake and Gwen just got engaged and have been gushing ever since the big moment in October. Gwen’s big win on The Voice topped off such an exciting year for the happy couple. John Brought Blake And Gwen Over Last Year In A Similar Surprise

You might remember that last year John dropped this bomb on Chrissy about having his fellow ‘Voice’ coaches come over. “I didn’t know tonight was the voice finale,” Chrissy said on social media at the time. “John invited everyone to dinner at the house after and I’m really f*cking mad because I didn’t make a f*cking FINALE meal. I would have gotten a cake or something too?? Who the f*ck does this? U don’t win The Voice then eat short ribs.”

“It sounds dumb, yes but this is VERY John,” she added. “I am always in charge of doing the fun, extra sh*t and he has no idea how much I plan normally and he’s like ‘no it’s fine they just wanna have dinner’ but it’s literally the finale of their show??? And I have no ice cream truck.”
