Organizers of this Concert are Hoping for Change
“I’m honored to be hosting ‘VAX LIVE: The Concert to Reunite the World’,” Gomez said in a press release. “This is a historic moment to encourage people around the world to take the COVID-19 vaccine when it becomes available to them, call on world leaders to share vaccine doses equitably and to bring people together for a night of music in a way that hasn’t felt possible in the past year. I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
This concert is a large part of Global Citizen’s Recovery Plan For The World. This campaign is aimed to stop the spread of COVID-19, end world hunger and focus on bringing proper education back all over the world. Global Citizen just launched a new site called Vax Because. This site is aimed to provide people with facts and answer all of their burning questions about the COVID-19 vaccine.
One year ago, Global Citizen hosted the “One World: Together at Home” special featuring Lady Gaga. This event raised nearly $128 million for the Solidarity Response Fund and frontline workers amid the pandemic.
