D’Amelio said she’s “having so much fun” competing on this season of Dancing with the Stars. When Corden asked if she feels like she’s “reconnected with dance” through the show, D’Amelio said she has.

“I hadn’t danced in quite a while, and I kind of stopped really loving it, and that was really hard for me, ’cause that was my life before,” she explained, adding that her friends and family have been telling her, “You look happy. Like, you look actually like you’re having fun.”

D’Amelio said that her loved ones “hadn’t seen that in a while, and that made me feel really good, because I was proud of myself.”

The star and her partner, Mark Ballas, have established themselves as frontrunners this season. They earned scores of 32 for both of their dances so far, and they were at the top of the leader board two weeks in a row (tied with two other pairs this week).

D’Amelio Is Dancing to Billie Eilish Next Week

Next week is James Bond Week on Dancing with the Stars, and D’Amelio teased that she’ll be dancing to Billie Eilish’s Bond theme song “No Time to Die.” She said she’s been a fan of Eilish “for such a long time.”

“She grew up dancing. You can tell that she makes music to dance to, and that was something that I always loved about her and her music that really set her apart for me,” D’Amelio told Corden. “I saw her on her last tour a few times. I’m just … I love her so much. So to be able to dance to her song on the show makes me really happy.”

You can watch D’Amelio’s next performance on Dancing with the Stars next Monday night at 8 p.m. ET, streaming live on Disney+.
