‘Britain’s Got Talent’ Winner Jon Courtenay Returns to The Stage With Fun Original Song

Britain’s Got Talent winner Jon Courtenay returned to the stage with an energetic original song. The fun song began the auditions episode in the best way possible. The song has quickly become the fan declared theme song of BGT auditions.
Britain’s Got Talent fans received the ultimate surprise on Saturday night. Ahead of the next round of audition, champion Jon Courtenay returned to the stage with an new original song. His recognizable voice and comedic lyrics once again made both the audience members and judges smile.
This song’s narrative was the perfect way to open to the audition episode. The montage includes Jon, as well as other big names from BGT‘s history like Paul Potts, Susan Boyle, and Tokio Myers. Since the song is all about auditions, the icons’s audition footage was used.
“Leave behind the life you knew before / if you succeed / the chance of your show in a stadium / starts on stage at the palladium / Your moment’s here, this is your chance,” Jon sings.
After the performance aired, Jon reshared the video on Twitter. Within his retweet, he thanked the show for including him, even if it was only for a short segment.

Jon made history on BGT as the first Golden Buzzer recipient even to win the show as a whole. This singer took the audition stage with an original song, which began by making fun of judges. He then went on to tell his own story and finish with the words “This is Me,” paying homage to the The Greatest Showman tune.
Jon continued through the competition with several other original songs in the semifinals and finale. He continuously made people happy with his personal tunes shared on the stage. Since winning the series, he has appeared in the Royal Variety Performance 2020, as well as part of the Britain’s Got Talent Christmas Spectacular.
After winning the series, the singer shared his journey of battling with Skin Cancer. When his battle was revealed, Jon shared that he found a mole in January 2020, but wasn’t diagnosed until July. Even though this occurred while he was on BGT, he reportedly stayed quiet because he didn’t want to his act to be seen as a sob story.
