‘BGT’ Alum Reuben Gray, Mainstage Cartel Release Music Video For “No Hard Feelings”
Britain’s Got Talent fan favorite Reuben Gray started 2022 out with a bang as the lead singer in Mainstage Cartel’s first single “No Hard Feelings.” The group released the music video for the electropop song soon after its release to streaming.
Mainstage Cartel is a new band that brings together 11 German artists to create one sound. They recently made their Instagram introducing their individual members. This group teamed up with BGT alum Reuben Gray for their first song “No Hard Feelings.” The song was released to streaming on February 1. The music video dropped soon after on Feb 9.

“No Hard Feelings” begins by showing all of the artists included in the song with Reuben’s vocals in the background. Throughout the video he’s singing into a microphone while the other artists dance. This video features a roaring twenties theme with many females dressed as flappers. The costuming is probably the best aspect in this video. I really loved the fact that everyone was dressed so well for the period they were trying to portray.
Some of the scenes are in sepia tone, while everything related to Reuben is in color. Since this song talks about things that happened in the past, it can be assumed that the sepia portions were supposed to be in the past. Near the end of the video, the two worlds mesh together when Reuben joins the sepia toned artists for a group picture. I think the theme is fun, but I don’t think it was done right.
I like the idea that Reuben is the future singing, but the group photo didn’t make any sense. The execution of the idea was way off considering the two worlds weren’t separate. Regardless, I really like the song and I think Reuben looks great in it with his new style.
The BGT alum recently ventured into rock music on TikTok, so this song was right up his alley. While “No Hard Feelings” features a quick beat, strings, and an emphasis on his voice, it also contains a dance aspect. He recently shared that he wants fans to play the new song and pretend to be a rockstar.
