Britain’s Got Talent Series 19 returned over the weekend for another episode of Semifinals, as judge KSI pressed the Golden Buzzer for talented foot juggler Liwei Yang. One other act earned the public’s vote to move on to the finale.
KSI Presses BGT Golden Buzzer in Semifinals
During this week’s new Semifinals episode of BGT, foot juggler Liwei Yang returned to the stage for a dangerous performance in which she balanced a flaming umbrella on her feet before moving on to an enormous flaming wheel.
The judges were shocked by the performance, and the audience chanted for the Golden Buzzer. It was KSI’s turn to do the honors, and he answered the call before his fellow panelists even had a chance to share their thoughts. Liwei Yang will go straight into the finale.
Alesha Dixon said she was “in awe” of Liwei’s performance, calling it “exhilarating from start to finish.” Amanda Holden called it “epic,” pointing out how brave Liwei is. Simon Cowell told her, “Everything about that performance was spectacular.”
After her Golden Buzzer moment, Liwei acknowledged how dangerous her performance was, saying she felt nervous before she went out on stage but adding that she tries to focus on being brave when she performs.
At the end of this week’s new Semifinals episode, three acts were announced as having received the most votes from the public for their performances: multimedia group Antigravity, stand-up comedian Ted Hill, and harpist Niamh Noade.
Ultimately, Ted Hill was announced as having received the most votes out of those three acts, meaning he moved on to the finale while the other two acts were unfortunately eliminated from the competition.
In his audition for the show, Ted earned a Golden Buzzer from hosts Ant & Dec. He returned to the stage this week to present a funny slideshow to the audience and introduce Simon Cowell to the robot version of himself. Judge Amanda Holden told Ted he “could literally say anything” and it would be entertaining.
