‘American Idol’ Winner Jamal Roberts to Tour with Brandy & Monica

American Idol Season 23 winner Jamal Roberts shared some exciting news earlier this week. The 27-year-old singer is joining Brandy and Monica as a special guest on their upcoming “The Boys Is Mine” tour.

Earlier this week, Roberts took to Instagram to share that he will be joining Brandy and Monica on tour later this year. The two iconic singers are known for their 1998 duet “The Boy Is Mine,” which also serves at the tour’s title.
“The things God is doing in my life,” Roberts wrote in the caption of the post, before teasing that “new music is on the way.” The singer is a special guest on the upcoming tour, alongside Muni Long and Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland.
The tour kicks off October 16 in Cincinnati, with dates lined up around the United States into December. Stops include Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Houston. Tickets for the tour will be available to purchase online starting Friday, June 27.

The Singer Is Working on New Music
As Roberts teased in his Instagram post announcing his involvement in Brandy and Monica’s tour, the singer is also working on new music of his own. Earlier this week, he posted a selfie from the studio, writing in the caption, “Man I just put in so much work on this song.”
As part of his time on American Idol this past season, Roberts released a single on streaming. He chose to share his cover of Tom Odell’s “Heal,” which he performed more than once during the competition. Fans are definitely looking forward to hearing some original music from the singer as well.
