Amanda Holden is the sexy singer that has served on the ‘BGT’ judging panel since 2007. While Amanda can pretty much rock whatever she wears, over the years she has been called out numerous times for inappropriate looks. Since ‘BGT’ is a family show, parents feel like she should cover up but others feel like she should be free to express herself and wear whatever she wants.

During a ‘BGT’ live show in September of 2020, Amanda wore a plunging blue off the shoulder gown. The neckline went down below her chest and many took to social media to share their thoughts on this bold look. There were over 235 complaints to Ofcom, the UK’s communications regulator, for wearing this dress because many claimed to have been distracted by the judge’s nipples.

“Is it me or Amanda’s nipples nearly hanging out of her top?” one person wrote on social media. Others commented on how the shadows of the microphone and the dress itself did not help her case.

She caught a lot of criticism from parents for this look who deemed it inappropriate for the family show.

Amanda recently got cheeky on Instagram to ring in the new year.
When the 49-year-old posted a picture in a red dress ahead of a ‘BGT’ taping, many were criticizing her outfit choice. She did warn everyone that the dress was so tight that she had difficulty moving her arms. The busty dress showed off her cleavage as Amanda hilariously tried to move her arms during a commercial break. Many suggested that she simply change her outfit to avoid a wardrobe malfunction.

In a different asymmetrical gown, Amanda was absolutely glowing. She flashed her legs in the maroon colored dress with a black sweetheart bodice. But many had an issue with the see-through fabric of the bodice of the gown.

“Amanda I have to say, your dress sense of late is highly inappropriate for a family show. Boobs on show is embarrassing for children to have to watch. You have kids. Please think & dress more sensibly & appropriately…” one person wrote online.

Perhaps one of Amanda’s sexiest looks that sparked Ofcom complaints was her gown created by Lebanese fashion designer Nicolas Jebran. She wore this on ‘BGT’ in 2017 and many called it “too risque” for the show. Half of the dress was white and the other half was a sheer material that covered her breasts.

In 2020 the longtime ‘BGT’ judge wore a pink skin-tight jumpsuit that caught the attention of fans. It proved to be a bit of a distraction for those at home that were trying to focus on the acts. While all of the other judges dressed in black, Amanda was sure to stand out, with most people calling out the fact that she was not wearing a bra.
Amanda Has Responded To Her Outfit Complaints
After many complained about Amanda’s outfits throughout the 2020 season of ‘BGT,’ she took to Instagram to comment. “Mmm really?! Who has nipples this close to their cleavage?! FYI. A boned corset dented the girls all night” she wrote on Instagram.
In an interview with Loose Women, Amanda further spoke about her decision to wear such bold outfits. She confessed all of her outfits are approved before she wears them on the show. “There’s now a whole body of people that know on my door and come and stare at my chest before we go on air,” she said. “There’s a t*t committee. There are so many brilliant people, they come down, knock on the door.“And there’s the lady who’s the producer who said, ‘Mandy, it looks great.'”
