‘American Idol’ Season 24: Sneak Peek at 24 Auditioning Singers

American Idol is set to return for Season 24 on Monday, January 26. Ahead of the premiere on ABC, let’s take a look at 24 singers who auditioned for this season in the hope of impressing the judges and earning a Golden Ticket to Hollywood.

1. Bud Troxell

This singer released an EP called Strings & Stones in 2024. He recently told fans on Instagram to “keep an eye out for some new songs from me this year.”

2. Christopher Tungseth

“The side quest was always the main quest,” this singer wrote to announce that he had auditioned for American Idol Season 24. Christopher appears to be from Nashville, Tennessee.

3. Eva Luna Smith

“I am so grateful for this opportunity and the outstanding people I met during this out of body experience,” Eva wrote to announce she had auditioned. She released the EP Songs for Patricia Lee last year.

4. Genevieve Heyward

This singer dropped her debut EP Sprinkle last year. Genevieve is originally from Wisconsin, but she moved to Nashville. She wrote on Instagram that she’s wanted to audition for American Idol since she was a kid.

5. Haley Bundy

This singer called her auditon “a moment I’ll never stop being grateful for.” Haley is originally from Ohio but relocated to Nashville in 2024. Her new song “End to Begin” will be released on January 30.

6. ITZE

This singer has released several singles over the years, most recently “Burn” in 2023. ITZE shared on Instagram that she was “one of only 3 Latinos who made it through the casting process on American Idol.”

7. Jackson White

This Nashville-based singer called his audition for the show “such an honor and one of the coolest experiences.” Jackson released the song “Malibu” last year.

8. Jakob Stobaugh

This singer teased on Instagram that fans “aren’t ready” for the talent featured in this season of the show. Jakob is part of the duo Jake ‘n Rey. Their single “Summer Nights” was released last year.

9. Jayson Garner

This Christian singer and worship leader wrote of his audition, “When something so crazy happens that there is no other explanation than a GODplantion.”

10. Jesse Findling

American Idol recently shared a sneak peek at Season 24 in the form of Jesse’s audition. The 19-year-old college student opened up about how he grew up with a stutter before performing “In The Stars” by Benson Boone. The judges unanimously voted to give Jesse a Golden Ticket.

11. Julia Sienna

This 20-year-old singer has released several singles over the years, including “Lies” in 2023. As she wrote on Instagram about her audition, “New year, new opportunities!”

12. Julian Kalel

This singer from El Paso, Texas, describes himself as a “mental health advocate” on Instagram. He recently released a single called “Lone Guitar.”

13. Justin Koolik

This Nashville-based singer recently released his debut EP, titled Less and Less. In addition to original music, Justin also posts song covers on social media.

14. Keyla Richardson

This singer is from Pensacola, Florida. She frequently posts videos of herself singing in church. As she wrote when announcing her audition, “Thank you all for the unwavering love, prayers, and encouragement.”

15. Kiera Howell

“This is the biggest opportunity I’ve ever been given and I am so beyond excited and so grateful!!!!!” Kiera wrote when announcing her audition. Last year, she released the song “Don’t Tread on Me.”

16. Kyndal Inskeep

This Nashville-based singer has over 200,000 Instagram followers. She’s released several singles over the years, most recently “Woman of Me” earlier this month.

17. Lainey Grace

This 16-year-old singer was raised in Iowa but currently lives in Alabama. She’s part of a musical duo called Maggie & Lainey. The pair frequently posts song covers on social media.

18. Landon McGraw

This Ohio-based singer is also a football player. Landon frequently posts videos of himself performing music on TikTok, including covers of songs by Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallen, and more.

19. Madison Moon

This singer describes herself as a “pop rock princess” in her Instagram profile. She has performed with the rock band Conquer Divide and recently released the single “What a Shame.”

20. Mariana Shcherbak

This Ukrainian singer also goes by the name Miyoko Samurai and has over 100,000 followers on TikTok, where she posts singing videos. As she wrote to announce her audition, “It’s crazy that it happened during my first year of living in America!”

21. Pierangela

This singer documented her audition process in several clips which she posted to Instagram when announcing she would be appearing on Season 24 of the show. Her single “In My Hands” is out now.

22. Talon Cardon

“Little me is so proud of this moment,” Talon wrote on Instagram about his American Idol audition. The singer recently released a single called “Ghost.”

23. Vella la Vella Band

Something we don’t see very often is a band auditioning for American Idol. Vella la Vella recently announced that they tried out for Season 24, including a clip in which they’re filmed while they perform on top of a school bus. We’ll have to wait and see what that’s all about.

24. Zayuh

“If you know anything about me this is something I’ve dreamed of my whole life,” this 20-year-old singer from South Carolina wrote on Instagram about auditioning for American Idol.
