Within the video, he explained that he’s been hospitalized for the past 21 days and is expecting to stay for another 10. During his stay, Hooper has been struggling with doing basic functions, such as walking or going to the bathroom on his own. In the coming days, Hooper plans to re-learn all of these normal movements.
After thanking the fans, he revealed that he’s “getting better,” but is still a long way from being cancer free. He set a goal to successfully “make cancer hilarious,” after he overcomes the illness with positivity and comedy. He finished by reciprocating the love and support from his fans, and that he will be back on track to bring laughs again soon.
Hooper is a great example of staying optimistic despite the current situation he has to face. It’s great to see that this comedian is still able to crack jokes, even in the worst of times.
