Simon Cowell Hits AGT: All-Stars Golden Buzzer for Mike E. Winfield

Comedian Mike E. Winfield made it to the Top 10 of AGT Season 17, but didn’t make it into the Top 5. He shared that his elimination from the show only made him work harder. He returned to the stage this week for AGT: All-Stars.

Mike had the audience and judges laughing with jokes about his stepson (whom he refers to as “stepman” due to his age) and his experience as a little league coach. Cowell said he was funnier and more confident this time around.

Cowell then told Mike that he “wasn’t expecting to do this, but I’m gonna do it.” He hit the Golden Buzzer, sending Mike straight to the Finals. Mike got emotional as the gold confetti covered the stage. He called it “the dream.”

Bir Khalsa Shocks the Judges with Danger Act

One of the most memorable acts from Monday night’s show came from the danger group Bir Khalsa, who previously competed in Season 14 of AGT. They performed some seriously suspenseful stunts, with one of the members smashing fruit around another member’s body while blindfolded.

The act ended with the blindfolded group member using a chainsaw to cut an apple held between the mouths of two other members. The judges were on the edge of their seat throughout the performance, and they even looked away a few times.

Howie Mandel called it “the craziest thing I’ve ever seen,” while Heidi Klum described it as “mind-blowing.” Cowell said it was “one of my favorite performances.” Because of this, you might have expected the group to make it into the Top 3.

However, that didn’t end up happening. The Superfans voted magician Peter Antoniou, singer Keren Montero, and saxophonist Avery Dixon into the Top 3. Avery ended up earning the second spot in the Finals.

The musician reached the Finals of Season 17 after earning the Golden Buzzer from Terry Crews. He returned on Monday night to deliver an electrifying saxophone performance of “Happy” by Pharrell. Cowell said he has a chance at winning All-Stars.
