Billy Ray Cyrus recently filed for divorce from his wife Firerose after just seven months of marriage. In a newly filed complaint, Cyrus accused Firerose of trying to isolate him from his family since the May divorce filing.
Drama After Billy Ray Cyrus Files for Divorce from Firerose
Cyrus and Firerose tied the knot last October. On May 23 of this year, Cyrus filed for divorce. Then earlier this week, the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer filed a new complaint as part of an amendment/supplement to his annulment and divorce complaint.
According to People, Cyrus claims that Firerose “had been conducting a campaign to isolate” him from his family since the May filing. More specifically, Cyrus says he discovered that Firerose had “blocked at least one (1) of his daughters from being able to contact him on his phone(s) or electronic devices.”
The document apparently did not specify which daughter Firerose allegedly blocked. Cyrus shares two daughters with his ex-wife Tish — Miley and Noah. He also adopted Tish’s daughter Brandi from a previous relationship.
Cyrus also alleges that Firerose lied about being married twice before, as well as about her last name, and he claims that Firerose made 37 unauthorized charges on his business credit card, totaling almost $97,000, after he filed for divorce.

Firerose Has Responded to the Filing
People also obtained Firerose’s response to Cyrus’ filing, in which her attorneys denied that she made 37 unauthorized charges. They added that Firerose “was simply living as she has since October 10, 2023,” and that Cyrus “has no right to cut her off.”
The Australian singer claimed in her counter filing that she experienced “extreme verbal, emotional and psychological abuse” from Cyrus. She has also accused Cyrus of filing for divorce one day before she was scheduled to undergo surgery for breast cancer.
The Cyrus family has been a hotbed of drama lately, including a rumored feud between Billy Ray and Miley. In a recent interview, Miley said she inherited her father’s “narcissism,” while calling her mom “my hero.” She also shared that “really, my mom raised me.”
