How Billy Ray Cyrus’s Dog Introduced Him to Wife Firerose: “He Was Tapped Into Some Divine Purpose”

Dogs can also serve as cupid, according to Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife Firerose. The couple recently revealed that the “Achy Breaky Hearts” singer’s late dog was the one who brought them together.
Billy Ray Cyrus Was Introduced to Wife Firerose By His Late Dog
During the newlyweds’ recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Firerose detailed how she and Cyrus stumbled upon each other through his furry companion. According to the Australian musician, it seemed as if fate conspired with Cyrus’s dog to begin their love story.
“I was walking out of an audition on Sunset Gala in Hollywood, and Billy’s dog at the time, Tex — who was the most beautiful German shepherd you’ve ever seen — he was tapped into some divine purpose because we were, at the time, just friends and all these years later, we got married,” she said.
Cyrus and Firerose officially became husband and wife on October 10. The couple announced the news in a joint Instagram post, sharing a series of beautiful wedding snaps.
“10/10/23 will always be the beautiful, joyous day that our two souls united as one in holy matrimony,” their caption read. “It was the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined.”
The two tied the knot after less than a year engaged. Interestingly enough, the ceremony took place 14 years after they originally met during the filming of Disney Channel series Hannah Montana.
“For both of us to hear the preacher say, ‘Billy Ray and Firerose Cyrus… I now pronounce you husband and wife’ that was the sacred moment our new forever began. Long Live Love!”
Cyrus was previously married to Tish Cyrus, whom he shares three children with—Miley, Braison, and Noah. Reportedly, Tish married Dominic Purcell in August in a romantic ceremony in Malibu, California.
They Talk Christmas Plans as a Married Couple
The couple also gave a glimpse of how they plan to celebrate their first Christmas as husband and wife. Apparently, they’ve been growing a tree for quite some time now.
“We do actually have a tree. His name is Blue Spruce,” Firerose said.
She went on and stated that the tree is “very special” to them, that they even “visit him and see how he is doing.” In taking care Blue Spruce, the Australian singer said they take time to clear away the weeds surrounding it.
“We live on a farm so there’s a lot of stuff growing, but he’s very special. And we think, this year, he’s gonna come out of the ground and be our actual tree,” she said.
Clarkson then shared that she and her kids usually celebrate Christmas in her Montana ranch where they usually decorate trees outside. Upon hearing the story, Firerose agreed that they should also beautify their growing tree for the holidays.
Elsewhere in the interview, Firerose explained why she decided to move from Australia to pursue a music career in America.
“I had this weird desire my whole life, that was this burning desire to come to America,” she said. “I can’t even explain where it came from except pop music was like my spirituality.”
Cyrus and Firerose recently gave their followers a sneak peek of their intimate wedding celebration with the recent release of their song “Plans (Party Remix)”. They dropped the remix through Damon Elliott’s Kind Music Group and exclusively premiered its music video on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
