The star-studded two-part Season 24 finale of The Voice featured stunning duets between the coaches and their remaining artists. From festive Christmas tunes to rock anthems, these six performances particularly stood out for their vocal prowess, emotional resonance, and captivating showmanship.

6. Reba McEntire, Jacquie Roar’s Catchy “No One Else On Earth” Duet

Country icon Reba McEntire joined forces with her team member Jacquie Roar for a delightful cover of Wynonna Judd’s “No One Else on Earth.” Their smooth harmonies nicely complemented the soulful lyrics, making for a pleasant country-tinged listening experience. While not the most ambitious finale duet, the song allowed both vocalists’ strengths to shine.

5. Lila Forde, John Legend Perform “Sleigh Ride”

Attempting a jazzy holiday standard, coach John Legend accompanied Lila Forde on a playful rendition of Ella Fitzgerald’s “Sleigh Ride.” The two seemed to relish the chance to flex their musical chops on the upbeat Christmas favorite.

However, the complexity of the song didn’t maximize Forde’s niche as a powerhouse pop/R&B belter. So while enjoyable, the performance felt more like a fun stylistic exercise than a finale showstopper.

4. Ruby Leigh, Reba McEntire Sing “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree”

Channeling holiday spirit, 16-year-old Ruby Leigh teamed up with coach McEntire for a spunky cover of Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.” Their energy brought lots of festive cheers.

Yet at times, it seemed like the two talented vocalists struggled to properly mesh. So while capturing the cheerful mood of the season, some technical flaws keep this duet in fourth place.

3. Mara Justine, Niall Horan Perform “Wasted Time” by the Eagles

Mara Justine joined her coach Niall Horan for a stunning rendition of the Eagles’ brooding classic “Wasted Time.” Showcasing unbelievable chemistry, the two drew out the song’s emotional vulnerability through their tender harmonies.

Between Justine’s vocal runs and Horan’s raspy tones, they took the melancholic ballad to heavenly heights. Undeniably the finale’s strongest male/female duet match.

2. Huntley, Niall Horan Sing “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” by Bob Dylan

Ultimate victor Huntley gave an epic acoustic performance with coach Horan on Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.” Huntley’s gritty, soul-baring vocals perfectly suited the song’s bluesy vibe. Meanwhile, Horan’s accentuated guitar rhythms nicely supplemented the unfurling melody.

The stripped-down arrangement highlighted Huntley’s skills as a storyteller through song. His palpable emotional connection also earned rave reviews from the coaches and viewers alike.
