The Voice shared some exciting news about Season 31 earlier this week. The new competition will be titled The Voice: Celebrity, and it will feature new host Keke Palmer. Additionally, Joe Jonas will be joining the coaching panel.

The Voice: Celebrity Announced for Season 31

On Tuesday, it was announced that The Voice Season 31 will be called The Voice: Celebrity. According to NBC Insider, the new season will feature “actors, athletes, influencers, comedians, reality stars, and other celebrities” competing “in a revamped format.”

As of this writing, the lineup of celebrities competing on the new season has yet to be announced. This version of the show will also feature some new twists on the classic format, including a Boot Camp as the celebrities prepare for their Blind Auditions; a VIP room where the stars will gather during the show; and the Workroom, where celebrities will “strategize, rehearse, and ready themselves for the Battles.”

This season of the show will feature three coaches instead of the usual four. Queen Latifah and Riley Green, who will make their coaching debut in Season 30 this fall, will be back for Season 31. They’ll be joined by new coach Joe Jonas, who previously served as his brother Nick’s Battle Advisor in Season 18.

Keke Palmer Will Host the New Season

For the first time in The Voice history, Carson Daly will not be hosting the new season. Instead, actress Keke Palmer will emcee Season 31, while Daly will focus on producing duties. Palmer has plenty of hosting experience on NBC’s Password.

In fact, Palmer won an Emmy in 2024 for Outstanding Host for a Game Show. Daly described Palmer as a “triple threat queen,” saying she’s “perfect” for the new season. As he shared, “I’m so grateful she carved out the time in her busy career to help us out.”
