After three years, the Jonas Brothers is finally working on their sixth studio album. According to Nick Jonas, they are collaborating with some people within the industry to butter up their upcoming release.
Jonas Brothers’ Next Album will be “Different”
In 2013, the Jonas Brothers devastated their fans when they announced that the family band badly needed to split. Nevertheless, despite vague possibilities, fans waited for a comeback. In 2019, the three officially reunited, and today, the New Jersey natives have a stronger bond than ever before.
Their fifth studio album, Happiness Begins, was their first after a decade. Evolving creatively due to past experiences alone and together, this album was a sonically brilliant masterpiece. It was loved by fans and hit the charts quick due to its popularity.
Today, the pop rock band is planning to release a new album. However, unlike the uplifting and sunny vibe of their previous one, they intend to tread a different direction.
“[We’re] definitely going in a newer direction,” Nick Jonas said. “We’ve been finding the right people to work with on a sound that feels age-appropriate for where we’re at now.”
Jonas mentioned singer-songwriter Jon Bellion as one of the artists they are making new music with. He described the collaboration with Bellion as “cool” due to the fact that he’s under the “same path” as them.
Fans Expressed Support for the Band’s New Music
Fans have been asking the band about new music since last year. Thus, upon finding out the good news, fans were quick to intimate their sweet messages. Some were delighted about Bellion’s participation in the upcoming album.
“Name dropping Jon Bellion sets a high bar,” a fan wrote. “I am expecting something very poetic.”
Several wished the brothers good luck while another hoped that their new music will be alternative sound. Regardless, fans are thrilled to hear about new music in the works.
“No matter what direction the new album might be it’s going 2 be amazing,’ another one wrote.
The Jonas Brothers have actively been performing in various shows this year. Last September, they headlined a concert in New York City for the 10th anniversary of the Global Citizen Festival.
Meanwhile, the band’s The Remember This Tour will resume on November 5 in Guadalajara, Mexico. They will also be gracing Las Vegas, Nevada for a three-night gig at the Dolby Live at Park MGM from November 10 to 12.
