‘Dancing with the Stars’ Semi-Finalists Aim to Dance for Redemption

Reading Time: 3 minutes

There are six celebrity couples heading into the Dancing With the Stars semi-finals. Tonight, they will be battling it out with two different dances, a redemption dance and a new style of dance. Redemption dances will show who the most improved dancer in the competition truly is. Could this be a one-way ticket home for some of the couples?

We’ve seen relay and head-to-head dances, but we haven’t seen anything like this yet this season. Redemption dances are where the couples attempt to dance a style that they struggled with earlier in the season. In addition to training with their professional partners, the celebrities will be mentored by the judges.

Len Goodman mentored Amanda Kloots on the Tango, JoJo Siwa on the Argentine Tango, and Melora Hardin on the Rumba. Carrie Ann Inaba mentored Suni Lee on the Foxtrot, Bruno Tonioli mentored Cody Rigsby on the Salsa, and Derek Hough mentored Iman Shumpert on the Tango.

Tonight we will see which celebrities were able to improve the style after rehearsing once again, and getting mentored by the judges. From how this season has panned out, I’m sure we will see a lot of high scores tonight.

On top of redemption dances, the couples will also perform one new dance tonight. Four out of six couples will be dancing Contemporary. Cody and Iman will perform the Argentine Tango and Jazz styles.

Who Will Be Up for Elimination?

Tonight, the best dancers will truly pull ahead. Redemption dances will show who the best of the best is this season, who has improved the most. Tonight features yet another double elimination, and I honestly don’t think anyone is safe. I think tonight is the night where we will finally see Fitness guru Cody Rigsby eliminated.

He’s done very well this season, but his scores haven’t even been close to the other couples. It could be due to the fact that he had to take some time off of the show due to COVID-19. Many thought Cody had a good chance to win this competition given his fitness, but he’s been behind a week and it really shows in his scores.

I also think that this is Iman’s last week on DWTS. He’s done very well in the competition, but hasn’t scored high routinely, just like Cody. I’m hoping Iman will be able to impress the judges tonight, otherwise it will be up to his fans to save him with their votes.

If my predictions are correct, JoJo Siwa, Melora Hardin, Amanda Kloots, and Suni Lee will continue on to the finale. These four celebrities have proven that the female contestants are a force to be reckoned with in season 30. Each of them have shown extreme improvement as the weeks of the season have gone on. I’ll be shocked if one of them go home as instead of Cody or Iman.
