Iman Shumpert earned the second perfect score of Dancing with the Stars season 30 during Horror Night. Iman and professional partner Daniella Karagach had the entire ballroom on their feet with their haunting contemporary dance.

The two performed to “I Got 5 On It (Tethered Mix from US)” by Luniz ft. Michael Marshall inspired by the film “US.” For Horror Night, each pair is tasked with creating a dance that captures the spirit (pun intended) of an iconic horror film. For their performance, Iman and Daniella wore matching red jump suits and dead panned to the camera, and to the judges.

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba called the performance “genius.” Derek Hough, on the other hand, jumped not only to his feet, but he jumped onto the judges’ table in his excitement.

The entire performance was filled with haunting movements that truly looked like the two were characters right out of the movie. Throughout the dance, Iman used his strength to lift and toss Daniella about in a series of acrobatic tricks.

Iman and Daniella Show Off With Powerful Lifts During Perfect ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Performance

We all know at this point that lifts and tricks are the strengths of these two dancers, but this week’s performance took them to the next level. Iman threw and tossed Daniella in ways that had me cringing in fear. Iman also showed off his capable footwork and wide arm-span to mimic the movements of Daniella in front of him.

“It was your masterpiece performance,” said judge Bruno Tonioli while Goodman agreed the dance was “terrific.” The feedback matched the scores and these two were given a well-deserved 40 out of 40. This is the third perfect score of the season, the first perfect score awarded to a pair other than standouts JoJo Siwa and Jenna Johnson.

“I promise that everything I did, she asked me to do it,” Iman said in response to the praise. “I didn’t come up with any of that, I was nervous to do it, but it was a hell of a performance.”

“This is what I came on the show for for a challenge to get critiqued you know I like challenges I like to improve myself in any way I can,” he said. “I appreciate the tens.”

Voting is currently open and one more pair will be sent home this evening. Viewers can vote until the last commercial break of the night.
