So many artists have covered The Righteous Brothers hit “Unchained Melody.” But, we promise that none of them can do it as well as Kelly Clarkson. In the latest Kellyoke segment on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the 38-year-old belted out the classic tune while showing off a noticeably slimmer figure. Kelly is currently going through a nasty divorce from her husband Brandon Blackstock.

The song started off with just the simple sound of the guitar. The lights in the studio were dimmed to yellow. It really set the tone for the performance and gave it a more intimate feel. The floor was covered in strings of lights as she stood in front of the live band. Kelly hit every single note perfectly and it seriously felt like viewers at home were at one of her concerts.
The Voice coach wore a red floral dress, brown boots and simple gold necklaces. Kelly showed off her slim figure in the outfit that went perfectly with the romantic and whimsical feel of the performance. Seriously the wardrobe department and set designers deserve some major props after doing such incredible work this season on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Kelly’s fans are loving her latest song cover. “This is a finale performance and Kelly just won. Again” wrote one person in the comments section about the American Idol winner.

“I think she’s been teasing us with what her next album might be with all these covers!! Such an amazing singer, Kelly!” another person wrote. We don’t know exactly if Kelly will be including any of her Kellyoke covers in her latest album. She did hint at more emotional songs to come in the album slated to be released sometime this year.
“This next record, this will probably be the most personal one I’ve ever released” she previously told Willie Geist on Sunday Today. “The whole record is basically every emotion you experience from the beginning of a relationship to the end of what it is now.” This is all very relatable to her personal life as her divorce drama heats up.
What’s Going On With Kelly And Brandon’s Legal Battle?
Kelly and Brandon, who share two children together, have been emersed in an ongoing legal battle since their divorce was announced last summer. Kelly is being sued by Starstruck Management Group for unpaid commissions. The company is owned by the Blackstock family and has been managing Kelly for 13 years. Brandon’s father Narvel Blackstock runs the management company. He filed the claim alleging that Kelly owes them $1.4 million in unpaid commissions.
Kelly is counter-suing Starstruck Management Group. She claims that they defrauded her for 13 years and tacked on massive fees for her to pay. She names Brandon and Narvel in the suit saying their actions are a “fraudulent and subterfuge device.” The singer also alleges that they carried out “illegal services” and are not licensed agents in the state of California. Kelly is hoping to receive the fees she paid to Starstruck Management Group in the years she worked with them.
“It is unfortunate that Kelly is again attempting to avoid paying commissions that are due and owing to Starstruck to try and achieve some perceived advantage in her ongoing custody and divorce proceedings,” Starstruck Management attorney Bryan Freedman told ET.

But now, Brandon hit back once more, denying Kelly’s claims. He alleges that the company does not owe Kelly any money. His legal team also maintains that Brandon and Narvel do not conduct their business in California so they are not breaching any laws. He is seeking for Kelly’s filing to be dismissed and for her to cover the cost of his legal fees.
