Talent Show Performances That Made Judges Cry
1. Josh Daniel
It’s not often that Simon Cowell cries from an audition, but he absolutely bawled over Josh Daniel’s performance of “Jealous” by Labrinth on The X Factor UK. The singer noted that he picked the song because he lost his best friend too soon a few years prior. His emotions totally radiated throughout the song.
2. Flakefleet Primary School Choir
What began as a cute child choir performance ended in the absolute sob fest. This choir put on one of the cutest performances of “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen, featuring tons of costumes. Judge David Walliams gave this group the Golden Buzzer, which prompted plenty of happy tears.
3. Lloyd Macey
Lloyd Macey brought Sharon Osbourne to tears with his beautiful rendition of “A Different Corner” by George Michael on The X Factor UK. The judge was so emotional from this performance that Nicole Scherzinger had to give her a hug. She called it “wonderful” saying his rendition made her miss Michael so much.
4. Harry Gardner
This teen singer came to the stage with an emotional original song written for his grandmother, who was diagnosed with alzheimer’s three years before his audition. The beautifully written tribute brought tears to the judges eyes. If that wasn’t enough for you to cry, Britain’s Got Talent revealed that Harry’s grandmother passed away a few days before his audition aired.
5. Kelly Clarkson
Years after Kelly Clarkson’s American Idol win, she returned to the stage to sing “Piece By Piece” for the farewell season. Singing this song again brought the pop star and the judges to tears. At the end of the song, Clarkson admitted that her emotions got the best of her because she wrote the song for her daughter and was pregnant with her son at the time.
