The X Factor standout Carly Rose recently revealed that she was asked to take part in another competition show. Nearly 10 years since The X Factor, the singer was asked to audition for American Idol.
American Idol messaged Carly Rose on Instagram
Carly Rose recently uploaded on TikTok, disclosing that American Idol directly contacted her on Instagram. In the video, the X Factor singer slapped a screen capture of American Idol’s Instagram account sliding into her messages. The top-rated talent show specifically encourages Carly Rose to join American Idol, proposing to build up her career.
On August 31, 2022, the account communicated with the singer, identifying itself as the Supervising Digital Producer for American Idol. It’s clear that Carly Rose ghosted the producer, since they sent a follow up, asking her to audition for the series.
“I’d love to chat with you about how we can help elevate your music and career!!! Would you shoot me a text or call? Let’s talk!” the first message read. “Would love to have you audition for our execs if you’re interested!”
The singer erased the name of the producer and email information for the executive. Carly Rose made it clear in her TikTok caption that she won’t be appearing on American Idol in the near future. In the video, she can be seen pressing her lips together and moving her forefingers from left to right, which likely signifies the singer’s refusal to the invite.
Fans Encourage Her to Reply to American Idol
Although Carly Rose doesn’t want to “cheat” on The X Factor, her fans are encouraging her to give the competition a chance. Even though The X Factor was a great experience for Carly Rose, it’s no secret that she hasn’t broken into mainstream music yet.
“I say do it! It’s a good way to get back out there. I found you on here and was wondering where you were after X Factor,” a fan wrote in the comments. “Any exposure is good.”
Her supporters believe that competing on American Idol is a huge opportunity for the X Factor star to get back and boost her career.
“DO IT AND SING BROKENHEARTED FOR YOUR AUDITION YOU WOULD BE THE NEXT IDOL FR,” another comment read.
Nonetheless, others have also understood why the singer is hesitant. At the moment, Carly Rose continues to chase her music career. Subsequently, she promotes her recent rendition of “Brokenhearted,” a commemoration of her 10th anniversary of The X Factor.
