One Direction Reunion Planned for Late Late Show?
According to eTalk, the rumor that One Direction would reunite on the final Late Late Show episode began with a blind item from DeuxMoi. Fans have been pointing to clues that the reunion might be happening and sharing them on platforms such as TikTok.
One video points out that, among other things, Zayn Malik has become active on social media again, Louis Tomlinson recently canceled his Asia tour, and Harry Styles isn’t scheduled to go back on tour until May.
Fans have been hoping for a One Direction reunion for years now. The boy band went on an indefinite hiatus in 2016 to pursue their solo careers. This came after member Zayn Malik already left the group in 2015. Members of the group have spoken about a desire to reunite, but it hasn’t happened.
Back in 2020, Corden responded to fan comments asking him to “kidnap” the band for a reunion. The host joked, “The more people ask me to kidnap the boys, the less likely I am to do it. You’re killing any element of surprise. And surprise is a major factor when kidnapping someone.”

Corden’s Finale Guests Have Been Announced
The rumors that One Direction will appear on the final episode of The Late Late Show have not been confirmed. However, a few other guests have already been announced for the final night.
According to Deadline, The Last Last Late Late Show with James Corden Carpool Karaoke Special will air on April 27 at 10 p.m., ahead of the final episode of the show. During the special, Tom Cruise will reportedly appear in a Lion King sketch.
There will also reportedly by three final Carpool Karaoke segments, one of which will feature Blackpink. The Kardashians will also apparently be featured in a Take A Break segment, and there will be a final Crosswalk the Musical segment.
Other stars set to appear on the show during the final episodes include Ben Affleck, Mila Kunis, Billy Porter, and Sharon Stone.
