Will Dr. Anthony Fauci Be On Season 29 Of ‘Dancing With The Stars’?
Reading Time: 3 minutes
Dancing With The Stars is reportedly reaching out to celebrities to cast its 29th season and the list of prospects is incredibly promising. One name that sticks out, in particular, is Dr. Anthony Fauci. Fauci is the top American infectious disease specialist and has served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984. He has become a trusted voice and the public face of the coronavirus pandemic.
Dr. Fauci has also debunked a lot of myths and misconceptions about the virus and has really become a man of the people. People admire his spunk and honesty and he became quite the sexualized phenomenon. Some people have even predicted that Fauci will appear on Dancing With The Stars after becoming so well-known in the past few months. So, will he actually be joining Dancing With The Stars? Or is it all just rumors?
Dr. Anthony Fauci Was Approached To Be On ‘Dancing With The Stars’
According to the Daily Mail, Fauci was approached by the Dancing With The Stars producers to join season 29. However, they are fully aware that the man has a pretty busy schedule. With the coronavirus pandemic still on-going, the infectious disease expert really has his hands full in reassuring the nation and attending the President’s press briefings. A source from the show said “Dr. Fauci has become a national hero in the last few months, leading the charge for keeping Americans safe at the height of COVID-19. He became not only one of our most trusted faces on television but also a man viewers looked to as an inspiration.” The source continued on to say “And of course he could be good for ratings. Like Sean Spicer, he is a lightning rod.”

Other names that have been floating around as potential contestants include controversial Tiger King star Carol Baskin and Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris Jackson. There has not been much talk about whether or not the show will perform with a live audience, but sources close to the show point to it being filmed remotely like American Idol and The Voice.
Kaitlyn Bristowe Has Already Joined The Cast For Season 29
One person who is already looking forward to lacing up their dancing shoes is former ‘Bachelorette’ Kaitlyn Bristowe. During a look back at Bristowe’s season 11 of The Bachelorette on ABC, host Chris Harrison had a video chat with Bristowe and her boyfriend Jason Tartick. Harrison announced that Kaitlyn would be competing on season 29 of ‘DWTS’ which was a huge goal for her.

She nearly cried and could not believe that Harrison was telling the truth. Perhaps the audience was the most shocked in all of this because, in the past, Bristowe opened up about how ‘Bachelor’ creator Mike Fleiss barred her from ever being on the show. She tweeted that after her season of The Bachelorette was finished, she was immediately offered to appear on the show. She was very excited but Fleiss ultimately said she wasn’t allowed. “He said he didn’t want people wanting fame after his show,” she wrote.
