The Show Will Premiere As Planned
There was some controversy earlier this month when it was revealed that DWTS was a WGA-covered show. Contestant Matt Walsh, who is a WGA member, announced he was pausing his involvement in the season until the writers’ strike was resolved.
ABC was reportedly considering a delay in premiering the new season. However, since the WGA has reached a tentative deal to end the strike, the show will be moving forward as planned. Season 32 will premiere on Tuesday, September 26, and Walsh will be competing.
Tune in on either ABC or Disney+ on Tuesday night at 8/7c to see this season’s celebrities hit the ballroom.
