America’s Got Talent is set to begin their upcoming round of auditions this spring. Ahead of auditions, longtime judge and comedian Howie Mandel is hosting a comedy showcase at the world-famous Laugh Factory in Hollywood. Here’s all the details for the event for both comics and potential audience members.
Howie Mandel to Host Comedy Showcase
Upcoming America’s Got Talent comedians will have a chance to show off their skills ahead of the auditions this month. Any comic looking to audition for AGT’s Season 21 can sign up to take part in Howie Mandel’s Comedy Showcase at The Laugh Factory. This is a rare opportunity for up and coming comedians to perform on the same stage as Howie Mandel.
The sign up is now open for all comedians that are interested in potentially joining America’s Got Talent. Comics can submit their name, email, and phone number, as well as a 5 minute (maximum) stand-up performance. Comics chosen for the showcase will be notified by email prior to the event.
AGT’s Comedy Showcase at The Laugh Factory will take place on Wednesday, January 28 at 9:45pm. It is unknown at this time if footage from the showcase will be shown on America’s Got Talent Season 21.
Fans Can Purchase Tickets to Attend the Event
This event is completely open to the public, so fans of the show are now able to purchase a ticket. According to AGT’s press release, the audience will “enjoy an unforgettable lineup of comedians while witnessing potential AGT stars in the making.”
Audience member tickets are now live. Prices for this event begin at $25.
America’s Got Talent has helped launch the careers of various comics like Preacher Lawson, Taylor Williamson, Vicki Barbolak, Learnmore Jonasi, and many more. Although many comedians have been successful post AGT, a comedian has yet to win the series.
