Dancing With The Stars has officially cast the first celebrities of Season 34. With discussions of celebrity cast members, fans are beginning to wonder when the show will begin to announce its professional dancer cast. Here’s what we know about when ABC will announce the professional cast of Season 34.

Dancing With The Stars recently concluded their yearly tour where they bring the magic of the live show to cities in North America. With the conclusion of the tour, fans begin to get excited about the show’s upcoming September premiere.
Daniella Karagach, a professional dancer who has been apart of the show’s main cast since Season 29, recently touched upon when professionals know if they’ve been cast for the series. The answer, may come as a shock to some.
“We usually learn about that like a few days [before it’s announced on] Good Morning America, like around that time” Karagach told Y! Entertainment. “There’s like a few days where we kind of start practicing with our partners, and when we do our first meet, like a few days before that, is when we find out. So, around August time.”
Karagach went on to admit that cast members begin getting in shape for the new season over the summer months. Even though they don’t know if they have a place yet, dancers will be getting ballroom ready to ensure their success in the competition.
“We always try to go to the gym and just like take care of ourselves, eat properly before the craziness starts, because you have to be healthy like from within for the show it’s so taxing,” Karagach said. “You want to be able to like be drinking and hydrated and all that. There’s definitely a preparation that goes into the season.”
The Show Has Already Revealed 2 Celebrity Contestants
Each year, ABC gets creative with how and when they decide to announce upcoming celebrity contestants. This year, first star, Wildlife activist and photographer Robert Irwin was announced on April 22 on Good Morning America. A month later, TikTok star Alix Earle was announced as the second celebrity taking to the ballroom this fall.
In case you missed it, last season concluded with The Bachelor Joey Graziadei winning The Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy alongside his professional partner, Jenna Johnson. Finishing in second place was Olympian Ilona Maher and her partner Alan Bersten, followed by Actress Chandler Kinney and partner Brandon Armstrong in third place.
At this time, ABC has not yet released a premiere date for the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars. In addition, the long running judging panel of Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Derek Hough has yet to be confirmed.
