Kelly Clarkson has been on a roll lately booking some of the world’s biggest stars on her talk show. The Voice coach previously interviewed First Lady Dr. Jill Biden on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Now Kelly will be sitting down with former First Lady Michelle Obama.
Kelly Clarkson And Michelle Obama Chat About Dr. Jill Biden
When Kelly interviewed Dr. Biden, she asked her what the first thing she will do post-pandemic is. She confessed that she is looking forward to getting a martini with fries. Similarly, Kelly wants to know what the first thing Michelle is going to do when the pandemic is over. Michelle has been knitting a lot during quarantine but decided to spill some tea about the White House on The Kelly Clarkson Show in her virtual appearance.
“I need to just remind Jill that they actually do have plenty of fries and martinis at the White House. You don’t need to wait. They’ve got it all there” Michelle says. This makes Kelly laugh along with the virtual audience. The rest of the interview between Kelly and Michelle is set to delve deep into their experiences over the past year and how they have overcome their struggles. It will air on March 22 on NBC.

Kelly is currently going through a heated divorce from her husband of nearly seven years Brandon Blackstock. Amid all of the lawsuits and Brandon’s requests for spousal and child support, she has still managed to put a smile on her face. She has certified her place as the queen of television on The Voice and The Kelly Clarkson Show. And we all know one thing Kelly has been working on during quarantine is a new album that is going to be full of raw emotions.
Kelly And Dr. Biden Spoke About Divorce During Their Sit-Down
When Kelly had her sit-down interview with Dr. Biden, the pair opened up about going through a divorce. Dr. Biden married Bill Stevenson in 1970 and the pair divorced five years later. Kelly read Dr. Biden’s book called Where the Light Enters: Building a Family, Discovering Myself. There were several parts that talked about Dr. Biden’s own experience with divorce before marrying President Joe Biden which Kelly related to.
“You wrote about having to release what you thought a family was after getting divorced,” Kelly said. “And I’m going through that now … I can’t even imagine doing it again. I can’t imagine being married again.”

While going through her divorce, Kelly has been spending time with her kid’s River, 6 and Remington, 4 while balancing her time coaching The Voice. “Hard as it may be, Kelly’s finding strength doing mundane things at home with River and Remington,” a source told Ok! Magazine. “She bakes cookies, draws with them, reads them bedtime stories — those moments remind her that there’s a lot of good in her life, and she’s holding on to that with everything she has.”
